Celebrating a Campus Landmark: The History and Impact of Altgeld Hall

Wednesday, January 13th 

6:00 to 7:30 pm

With its iconic tower and pink sandstone construction, Altgeld Hall is one of the most easily recognized buildings on campus. Almost all alumni have taken a course or two in its hallowed halls.

The University of Illinois is embarking on a project to restore and renovate Altgeld Hall. We invite alumni to join the Suburban Illini Club for a virtual event focused on the history of this iconic building and to learn more about the plans for its future.

"Back to the Future" Alumni Connections Meet Up

Thursday, January 14th 

4:30 to 6:00 pm

Join us on January 14th to meet fellow alumni and network “the old-fashioned way”, with a virtual twist. 

•           Meet people in break-out rooms to have private discussions.

•           Head to the “main stage”, to hear from presenters and speakers.

•           Hear unique messages, specific to your small group as well common messages, without leaving your break-out room.

Illini Craft Brew and Trivia Night

Friday, January 15th 

5:30 to 7:00 pm

Join us for a night of craft brew talk with Eric Schmidt of Orange & Brew. Eric will have interviews with Illini Alumni from Alter Brewing company and Hopewell Brewing company.

The event will also feature an ILLINI pub trivia contest.

Suburban Illini Virtual Holiday Party

Tuesday, January 19th 

6:00 to 8:00 pm 

Join us for our biggest annual event. We'll have guest speaker Gene E. Robinson - LAS Interim Dean and Swanlund Chair in Entomology and a special Virtual Tour of the Krannert Center!

There will be a musical performance by Nathan and Julie Gunn. Nathan is the Swanlund Professor of Voice and Co-director of the Lyric Theatre. Julie is Professor of Accompanying and Co-director of the Lyric Theatre. You won't want to miss the Gunns!
