September 10th Tailgate Party and Campus Tours

Cheer on the ILLINI as they take on Virginia during Varsity I Day . 
 

Join us for this Suburban Illini Club members-exclusive event in Champaign for pre-game festivities, food, and beer.  Registration is free for Suburban Illini Club members and only $10 for guests of Suburban Illini Club members.
 

Prior to the tailgate, please join us at Alice Campbell Alumni Center from 9:00 AM until 12:00 PM for campus tours, provided by the University of Illinois Alumni Association's Student Alumni Council!  Free parking is available in the lot adjacent to Alice Campbell Alumni Center.  We also encourage you to check out the impressive Richmond Family Welcome Gallery inside of Alice Campbell Alumni Center for a unique look at university history!

The Tours

The club will offer tours of either Japan House and Garden (12:00 PM) or the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts (1:00 PM).  Shuttles will be available pre and post-game between Memorial Stadium and the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts. Click here for public transportation information. Note - The MTD stop at 4th and Peabody is just outside of Krannert on the west side of the building.

In the evening the Japan house will be hosting their annual Tsukimi, or Moonviewing festival from 7 until 9. There will be a free tea ceremony demonstration and a performance featuring a traditional Japanese bamboo flute on a boat in their pond (weather permitting). See more at their video page. 

Two Stadium Club passes will be drawn at the tailgate for new club members enrolling in the club this year-2022!!

The party starts at 9:00. Game time is 3:00 PM. We'll be in Lot 31 for the Tailgate party.

Consider a Stadium Level Membership

By becoming a Stadium Level Member, you will receive a pair of tickets to a home football game, Stadium club passes and parking passes. You will also be supporting the club and the students we help with our scholarship program at the highest level. 

Does NOT include game ticket. You can get tickets from the Illinois Ticket Office. Game Time TBA.
