Your Second Chance to Develop a Winning Strategy..Personally & Professionally
A follow up to The West Suburban Illini Club networking luncheon, with Paul L. Corona.
On August 27th, our keynote speaker, Paul L. Corona, talked with us about his book The Wisdom of Walk-Ons: 7 Winning Strategies for College, Business and Life. It tells the true strories of three unrecruited college football players who - against overwhelming odds - played for some of the greatest programs and Hall of Fame coaches in history: the Alabama Crimson Tide with Paul "Bear" Bryant, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish with Dan Devine, and the University of Southern California Trojans with John Robinson.
Former walk-ons Gordon Adams, Bob Bleyer, and Alan Pizzitola graduated from these storied universities in the 1970s and 1980s with academic honors, national championship rings, practical skills and a collection of winning strategies. These strategies helped them persevere and succeed in business and the rest of their lives.
Now all of us can apply this walk-on wisdom and become more successful and fulfilled in our professional and personal lives.
"I haven’t seen another book like it.
You can’t help but be inspired and motivated after reading it," said Bobby Bowden,
the second-winningest coach in major college football history.
If you weren't able to join our meeting and are interested in the book, everything you need to know is on the Wisdom of Walk-ons website: www.wisdomofwalk-ons.com.
Thank You to Paul L. Corona for his inspiring presentation.
