Brian grew up in Tolono, IL, as an Illini fan. He attended Liberty University, where he majored in radio broadcasting. His career spans calling play-by-play on radio for Class A and Triple A baseball to a major league play-by-play announcer with the Anaheim Angels. He turned down a position with the Montreal Expos (now the Washington Nationals) to return home to the Champaign area in 2000.
 

In 2001 he joined Illinois, providing play-by-play coverage of football and men’s basketball. Known as the “Voice of the Illini”, Brian cherishes the opportunity to be the eyes and ears for Illini fans all over the state and around the country.
